 T.E.F. Raffle Tickets on Sale!!

Raffle tickets can be purchased on Tuesday mornings in front of the school. Tickets are $20.00 each. The drawing for a 2010 Toyota Prius will take place at the Torrance Education Foundation dinner at the Torrance Marriott on May 8, 2010.  Please note that ticket order forms will also be available from the classroom teachers or by clicking here.

 ARNOLD TEACHERS WIN EXXON MOBIL "PEGASUS" GRANTS

Congratulations to the 6 Arnold teachers who wrote and received Pegasus Award Grants from the Torrance Exxon Mobil Corporation. Each year Exxon Mobil reviews hundreds of proposals to fund school projects most of which incoporate science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We are proud of the following Arnold teachers for their outstanding accomplishments: Cathy Gordon and Kim Mussachia for “Becoming Wordly Wise with our SMART Responses, Jeff Jennewein for “First Buzzer Game Show Competition, Shannon Mastan and Darcy Ogata for “Portfolios in the Digital Age”, Darcy Ogata for “Reading with RazKids”, and Debbie Katsogianes and Shannon Mastan for “Rock and Roll Forever - a Musical Review”.

Here is the timeline for Permit Applications through the Child Welfare and Attendance Office.

  • Taking Intradistrict Permit applications: March 22 – May 7, 2010
  • Taking Interdistrict Permit application: April 26, 2010 – on going
  • OE and permit wait lists expire: October 30, 2010

NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT

Kindergarten Registration for the 2010/2011 school year begins on March 15.  Check the Arnold boundary map here. You will need to come to the Arnold School office to pick up an enrollment packet.   Enrollment requirements can be found here.  If you are not sure which is your school of attendance, you may  click here to enter your address in the District's "school locator."

VOLUNTEER PROTOCOL

In order to begin volunteering in any capacity within the school, you will need to get approved through the school office. Be sure to fill out a volunteer services agreement, provide documentation of a current TB test and a copy of your photo I.D.  You can obtain a copy of the volunteer agreement by clicking on the icon below, or from the school office.
